Sandalwood is widely used in perfumes and is relaxing and soothing oil, especially good for calming irritations, whether of the nerves, skin or chest.
Santalum spicatum is sometimes used in place of santalum album. It has simillar properties but is especially useful for its
anti-inflammatory and antiviral effects.
