Last resort in management of symptomatic bradycardia (Atropine and pacing should precede this therapy)

- 1. AMI's
- 2. Cardiogenic Shock
- 3. Do not use with epinephrine

- 1. ventricular irritability
- 2. deactivated by alkaline solutions

- 1. tachyarrhythmias, PVC's and angina
- 2. Tremor, palpitations, headaches
- 3. anxiety, sweating, hypotension
- 4. Can increase size of infart due to incrased myocardium oxygen demand

1mg in 500 ml D5W (concentration of 2mcg / ml) infused at 2 - 10 mcg / min and titrated to effect or until PVC's occur
