    • toxicity: HA, tremors, irritability, restlessness
  7. Asthma Action Plan (5)
    • determine best peak expiratory flow rate
    • monitor daily before meds ( 2x a day if sick)
    • Green: 80 - 100 %
    • Yellow: 50 -79 % - quick release meds, repeat if doesn't imrove in 20mins
    • Red: <50% - use quick release & call HCP; 2-6 puffs pregnisone (repeat 3x if doesn't work 10-20 mins)
  8. Types of COPD ( 2)
    • chronic bronchitis : productive cough @ least 3 months for 2 yrs - ineffective airway clearance r/t inflammation
    • Emphysema : abnormal enlearment of air spaces. impaired gas exchange r/t CO2 retention
