  1. Before Exterior Check - W
    W-  Do not preflight until armament systems are safe, switches off, safety pins installed, and locking levers in locked position.
  2. 8.8 - 1. Publications - Check.
    • a. required forms and pubs.
    • b. availability of operator's manuals (-10s) and checklist (-CL)
  3. 8.8 - 4. Fuel sample (main and external) - Check
    • a. For contamination before first flight of the day.
    • b. For contamination after adequate settling time after cold refuel.
    • c. If the fuel source is suspected to be contaminated.
  4. 8.10 Nose Section (Area 1). - Caution
    C-  Do not deflect main rotor blade tips more than 6 inches below normal droop position when attaching tiedowns.  Dot not tie down below normal droop position.

    • b. Blade deice OAT sensor, FAT indicator probe(s) - Check
    • c. Avionics compartment - Check equipment as required; secure door.
