    Gene is the CEO and co-founder of People Power, an award-winning software company enabling remote control and management of connected devices from your smartphone. He was previously Chairman and CEO of Bitfone, an industry leader in mobile phone device management, which he sold to HP in 2007 for $160M. Gene was CEO and Chairman of Photo Access, which sold to Agilent in 2000. Gene was CEO of Computer Motion, a leader in medical robotics, which he led through a successful IPO in 1997. At Symantec, Gene was Executive VP where he managed four divisions and helped grow the annual sales from $172 million to $412 million. Gene was VP and general manager at Borland, where he drove sales of the C++ programming language to over one million copies. Gene was also co-founder and VP Marketing at Gold Hill Computers, an Artificial Intelligence company.
  6. Sudhir Rani
    Sudhir brings extensive financing and structuring experience to TerViva, a company that develops and commercializes new crops that grow sustainably on underproductive agricultural land. Before joining TerViva in 2011, Sudhir was a Director in the Private Equity group at D.E. Shaw & Co. in New Delhi, India where he structured, negotiated and conducted due diligence on growth capital investments. Prior to that, he spent eight years at UBS in Asset Management and Investment Banking. Sudhir has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Columbia University.

    Heidi has broad experience in both early stage ventures and with mature automotive and energy organizations, internationally and in the United States. Currently, Heidi is CEO of Hybrid Electric Vehicle Technologies (HEVT), an early stage technology company based in Chicago that develops and deploys innovative technologies that will facilitate the emergence of electrified transport. Prior to joining HEVT, Heidi worked as an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP restructuring in excess of $10 billion in debt obligations for multinational public and private companies in varied industries, focusing especially on the automotive, oil and gas, and media sectors.
  8. John Sedgwick
    John is a serial Silicon Valley entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in establishing innovative technology companies and generating returns to investors and over 11 years of solar industry experience ranging from polysilicon to multi 100MW utility scale power plants. He is currently President of VDE Americas, which provides PV plant certification and quality testing. In addition to his position at VDE Americas, he is also co-Founder & Executive Vice President of Solaicx, which sold to MEMC/SunEdison in July 2010 for ~$100M.

    Peter is a seasoned business executive with over 30 years of international experience growing high tech companies, in fields ranging from automotive electronics to solar energy. He is the Vice President of VDE Americas, a subsidiary of VDE Germany in partnership with Fraunhofer ISE, providing PV plant certification and quality testing. Peter is also the Co-founder of Solaicx and spent 7 years as VP of Business Development through sale of the company in 2010 to MEMC. In addition, he spent 25 years with Raychem Corp., a Fortune 500 California based materials science company.

Prior to starting TerViva, Naveen completed his MBA from UC Berkeley, where he focused on energy and resource economics. At that time, Naveen co-chaired the Berkeley Energy and Resources Collaborative (BERC), which under his leadership formed the “Cleantech to Market Program” to spin off promising technologies at Lawrence Berkeley Lab. Prior to getting his MBA, Naveen worked as a management consultant at Gemini Consulting and TPI (formerly a part of the Monitor Group), in the realms of biotech, finance, and human capital.
