What is a Median?
The Median is the "middle number" (in a sorted list of numbers).
There are fifteen numbers. Our middle number will be the eighth number:
3, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 21, 23, 23, 23, 23, 29, 39, 40, 56
The median value of this set of numbers is 23.

What is a Real number?
Real Numbers are just numbers like:
 1 12.38 0.8625 3/4 sqrt of 2

What is NOT a REAL number?
sqrt of 1

What are coefficients?
A Coefficient is a number used to multiply a variable (4x means 4 times x, so 4 is a coefficient)

What are exponents?
The exponent of a number says how many times to use the number in a multiplication. In 8^2 the "2" says to use 8 twice in a multiplication, so 8^2 = 8 × 8 = 64
