    • Monitor glucose
    • Maintain adequate fluid intake

    • Pregnancy Category B
    • Do not breastfeed
  7. Thiazide Diuretics: Interactions
    • Antihypertensives - increase hypotension
    • Lithium Carbonate - toxicity
    • NSAIDs - decrease diuretic effect
  8. Thiazide Diuretics: Administration
    • Oral route
    • Monitor potassium levels
    • Take in the morning or early day
    • Alternate day dosing
    • Take with or after meals
