    Hypersensitivity
  5. Naloxone (Narcan) Precautions
    Can result in severe withdrawl effects
  6. Naloxone (Narcan) Side Effects
    • 1. Acute withdrawl syndrome (give slowly)
    • 2. Pulmonary edema in rare cases
  7. Naloxone (Narcan) Dosage
    1-2 mg q 5 minutes SLOW IV push. Titrate to achieve good tidal volume with respirations
  8. Naloxone (Narcan) Route
    IV, IM, ET, SQ
  9. Naloxone (Narcan) Pediatric
    .1 mg / kg
