  1. Describe the propellers?
    It is equipped with Hartzell, 2 bladed, all metal, constant speed, full feathering, governor regulated propellers.
  2. How are the propellers operated?
    By oil pressure from the engine's oil system. The oil pressure is boosted by the propeller governor gear pump (located in the rear of the engine). Oil pressure from the governor drives the blades toward low pitch/high RPM setting. Springs, air pressure, counterweights drive the blades towards high pitch/low RPM setting when oil pressure is relieved.
  3. What is the diameter of the propeller?
    73 inches
  4. Does the cougar have an unfeathering accumulator?
    Yes, the unfeathering accumulator is located on the left hand side behind the firewall
  5. What degree is the low pitch?
    11.5 degrees
  6. What is the degree when the prop is in a feathered position?
    80 - 82 degrees
