    • E: weakness, fatigue, weight loss
  3. Plasmodium vivax
    • C: protozoa parasite
    • E: malaria --> enlarged spleen
  4. Iron deficiency anemia
    • C: body doesn't get enough iron
    • E: less Hb, less oxygen--> anemia
  5. Trypanosoma
    • C: protozoa parasite
    • E: headache, weakness, joint pain, extreme fatigue, insomnia at night
  6. Sickle cell anemia
    • C: hereditary, mutation in Hb gene
    • E: RBCs are cresent, stiff, sticky--> block blood flow
  7. Pernicious anemia
    • C: vitamin B12 deficiency
    • E: RBCs cannot divide, or are too large
