  1. Things to ask:
    • What are the days and hours this job requires?
    • How do we progress to the next stage?
    • Can I ask when you will be making a decision?
  2. Can you tell something about yourself?
I am a full time student at csusb that gets involved with a lot of volunteer work at the local parish st. Bernardines. I help prep/set up meals as well as prep events and meals and I am also a teacher there as well.
  3. What do you know about our company?
These offerings may occur in a food service environment, an energy management environment or a retail environment in a major hospital. Sodexo works with clients in various industries to offer solutions that make it possible for them to meet any number of objectives.
  4. Why do you want to work in our company?
I enjoy working with the public and want to continue to do so with a reputable company with solid foundations and excellent values.
  5. What are your strengths?
My strength is my flexibility to handle change. As a teacher I have to handle a room full of children. One minute I’m teaching and the other minute I am making sure my assistants watch over the kids who are troubled. It’s a difficult but I am used to multitasking and switching tasks.
  6. What are your weaknesses?
My weakness is stress. I almost always stress but I have learned to manage it by planning and drawing out steps to be more efficient and in control. This has helped me a lot in school and in my volunteer services as I manage to get assignments done in a timely manner, which is enough time to review the smaller details that may need to be improved.
  7. Why can you contribute to the company?
My knowledge, my experience, my well being, and responsibility. If I do not know or understand something I will be willing to put all my effort toward learning in order to complete the task at hand.
  8. How do you handle stress of pressure?
I handle pressure by organizing what I can or can’t do at that particular time. For example when the first time the ushers had to host the breakfast we weren’t organized with our orders, people were barking out orders and servers didn’t know who to serve. So when the first half of breakfast was over we bought a small waiters note book to not only write the orders but the customer gets their copy of the order with a number. Which made running serves quicker and easier.
  9. Why should the company hire you?
I have great customer service skills and I can change jobs whenever needed. I am a great asset to have, I am able to get work done by the due date and I am open to new ideas, I work well with others and if you were to call my refrences or any past collaborations then they would say they would easily work with me again. I not only work hard for myself but who I am working for and those around me.
  10. What is your experience in this field?
My experience comes from volunteering at my churchs hall where food is served. I can handle cleaning, prepping, serving and cashiering. I get don’t get to do it as often but I am comfortable handeling and being in a food environment
