    Class: Beta-Blockers, Beta-1 Selective

    MOA: Blocks response to beta-adrenergic stimulation; cardioselective for beta1 receptors at low doses

    Uses: Congestive Heart Failure, hypertension

    Side-effects: Dizziness, Headache, Tiredness
  2. Propranolol
    • Class: Antidysrhythmic, nonselective
    • Beta blocker, Antianginal agent

    • MOA: block beta1 and2, decrease
    • heart rate

    Uses: hypertension

    Side-effects: heart failure
  3. Labetalol
    Class: Beta blocker, Alpha activity

    • MOA: nonselective beta blocker w/intrinsic sympathomimetic activity, alpha

    Uses: hypertension

    Side-effects: lightheaded, dizziness, nausea
  4. Benadryl (diphenhydramine)
    Class: Antihistamines

    • MOA: 
    • Histamine H1-receptor antagonist of effector cells in respiratory tract, blood vessels, and GI smooth muscle
    • Moderate to high anticholinergic and antiemetic properties

    Uses: Allergic Reaction, Insomnia, Cough

    • Side-effect: 
    • Sedation, Confusion, Anticholinergic effects
