Describe what “availability” is
whether or not its permanently stored in long-term memory
Describe what “accessibility” is
the degree to which information can be retrieved from memory

Decay is wrong because it does not explain the process by which information is lost
Interference is wrong because we never lose information in our long-term memory, only through brain damage (despite the fact that we have a failure to retrieve the information
