  1. Material must be provided to build what?
    • One spread fence
    • One vertical
    • One trot fence
  2. Types of cups for schooling area
    • Safety cups
    •    (Breakable pins such as wooden dowels ok)
  3. Flags
    • Optional in schooling area
    • If an obstacle is flagged, it must be jumped in the appropriate direction
  4. Sweedish oxer stipulations (Hunters only):
    • No more than 6" height difference for ponies
    • No more than 18" height difference for horses
  5. Tape on schooling standards (& meaning)
    • 1.30 meters (4'3") - Need second rail
    • 1.60 meters (5'3") - Highest you can set a jump
  6. Ground Lines
    • Optional
    • Directly below up to 1 meter (3'3") out
    • If jump is flagged, ground line on takeoff side only
  7. Walk Rails
    • Cant exceed 12" (30 cm)
    • Can have one end resting on ground
    • Can't have ground lines
    • Must approach & depart in straight line
  8. Placement Rail
    • Approach: No closer than 8'2" (2.50 m)
    • Departure: No closer than 9'10" (3 m)
    • If used, jump can't exceed 4'3" (1.30 m) in height or width
  9. Slant Rail
    • One end resting on ground, other end higher than 12" (30 cm)
    • Not okay to walk over
  10. Guide Rail
    • Takeoff Side: Anywhere
    • Landinng Side: Minimum of 9'10" (3 m) from obstacle
  11. Maximum height & width of jump
    • Height: 5'3" (1.60 m)
    • Width: 5'11" (1.80 m)
  12. Cross Rails
    • Can't be set higher than 4'3" (1.30 m)
    • Must be below rail if under vertical or oxer
  13. Bounces
    • Verticals only
    • Can't exceed 3'9"
