Monogamous - a form of marriage in which an individual has only one spouse

Polygamous - is a form of marriage in which a person has more than one spouse at the same time
Endogamy - Endogamy is the practice of marrying within a specific ethnic group, class, or social group, rejecting others on such bases as being unsuitable for marriage or other close personal relationships.
- Exogamy - Exogamy has two related definitions: biological and cultural -
- a. Biological exogamy is the mating of non-related beings.
- b. Cultural exogamy is the marrying outside of a specific group.
