    Endogamy - Endogamy is the practice of marrying within a specific ethnic group, class, or social group, rejecting others on such bases as being unsuitable for marriage or other close personal relationships.

    • Exogamy - Exogamy has two related definitions: biological and cultural -
    • a. Biological exogamy is the mating of non-related beings.
    • b. Cultural exogamy is the marrying outside of a specific group.
