    IGNITION SWITCH ..OFF

    MOTOR ENGINE TO ITT BELOW 175°C OR FOR A MINIMUM 10 SECONDS

    POWER... REDUCE TO 20%-30%

    CONDITION LEVER... FUEL OFF

    CAUTION: If the propeller has not feathered ensure AUTOCOARSEN switch is OFF and set PROPELLER PUMP switch to MAN FEATHER. Hold the switch until the propeller is in the full feathered position
  3. Engine Fire
    • POWER LEVER ... ..........REDUCE TO 20%-30%
    • CONDITION LEVER........ FUEL OFF
    • FIRE HANDLE.................PULL
    • FIRE EXTG SWITCH ...... ON

    If fire indication still on after 30 seconds – discharge FIRE EXTG opposite side

    CAUTION: If the propeller has not feathered ensure AUTOCOARSEN switch is OFF and set PROPELLER PUMP switch to MAN FEATHER. Hold the switch until the propeller is in the full feathered position
  4. Uncommanded Engine Operation In Flight
    SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE
  5. Engine Shut Down
    • POWER LEVER...........REDUCE TO 20%-30%
    • CONDITION LEVER ....FUEL OFF

    NOTE If TEMP rises above 540 C or if there is evidence of combustion after shut down, MOTOR engine until TEMP decreases below 175 C.

    CAUTION: If the propeller has not feathered ensure AUTOCOARSEN switch is OFF and set PROPELLER PUMP switch to MAN FEATHER. Hold the switch until the propeller is in the full feathered position

    Caution: For dual cargo extinguisher installations select only EXTG 1initially. Refer to the QRH for direction on use of EXTG 2

    • CHECK HYDR INDICATORS – EMERG AND MAIN PRESSURES ARE BOTH LOW

    Caution: Leave flaps in actual position

    • SPEED BELOW 200 kts
    • Landing GEAR HANDLE.............. DOWN
    • EMERG LDG HANDLE .................PULL
  13. Hydraulic Fluid Loss
    HYDR PUMP SWITCH......................OFF
  14. Elevator System Jammed
    • AUTOPILOT..............................DISENGAGE
    • Be prepared for trim transients

    INTERCONNECT UNIT ..............OVERPOWER Both pilots shall act on the controls. The pilot on the side not failed can, by overpowering the interconnect unit, control the aircraft

    PITCH DISCONNECT HANDLE............. PULL The pilot on the side not failed can control the aircraft

    CAUTION Do not order an evacuation until both NG’s are below 20%.

    First Officer’s Duty

    • At the Direction “EVACUATION DRILLS” from the Captain:
    • EMERGENCY PANEL SWITCHES (3) ........ON
    • FIRE HANDLES (BOTH).......................PULL
    • FIRE EXTG. SWITCHES (BOTH)..............ON
  18. Both Engines Flame Out
    • POWER LEVERS (BOTH) ...........FLIGHT IDLE
    • CONDITION LEVERS (BOTH).......... FUEL OFF
    • AIRSPEED ...................................130 KIAS BATTERY SWITCHES (BOTH).............. OVRD
    • FUEL STBY PUMP SWITCHES (BOTH)....OVRD
    • AUTOCOARSEN...................................OFFLEFT CONDITION LEVER....................START
    • START SWITCH.................................. LEFT

    If Engine Restarts

    • LEFT CONDITION LEVER...................... MAX
    • LEFT POWER LEVER .................... ADVANCE
    • LEFT GEN SWITCH...............RESET THEN ON
    • Maximum two reset attempts

    • If Engine Does not restart
    • LEFT CONDITION LEVER................FUEL OFF
    • Attempt to start right engine commencing at Item 7
  19. Loss of both Generators
    • BUS TIE SWITCH ................................SPLIT
    • BOTH GEN SWITCHES.............RESET THEN ON
    • Maximum two reset attempts for each generator.
