    • Increase HR and Cardiac contractile force
    • Causes bronchodilation

    Indications
    • Bradycardia refractory to Atropine (when pacing not available)
    • Severe status asthmaticus
    • Poisoning from Beta-blockers

    Contraindications
    Should not be used to increase BP in cardiogenic shock

    Adverse reactions
    • Ventricular irritability
    • Deactivated by alkaline solutions
    • Use with caution if MI supsected
  6. Isoproterenol (Isuprel)
    Dosage
    Adult: 1mg in 500mL of D5W then slowly infused at 2-10mcg/min. Titrate until desired effect or PVCs occur

    Peds: 0.1 mcg/kg/min
