  1. Step 1:
    "Something" exists
  2. Step 2:
    • This something either:
    • A) Caused itself to exist
    • B) Was caused to exist by another
    • C) Has alwas existed
  3. Step 3:
    • But nothing can cause itself to exist, so if it was caused to exist, then it was causedd by another
    • there is no infinite sequence
  4. Step 4:
    There cannot be an infinite series of causes because without a 1st cause ther would be no subsequent causes
  5. Step 5:
    Therefore, there must be a 1st cause which is uncaused
