  1. What is extrapolation?
The process of using the regression line to predict values out of the range of the predictor variable
  2. What do we do when there is no obvious IV?
Derive 2 regression lines by reversing the roles of the IV and DV
  3. What happens if the relationship between X and Y is 0?
    • The two regression lines are at right angles to each other
    • Both would pass through the averages for sample data and thus these are the best predictions of values
  4. What happens if there is a perfect relationship between X and Y?
    • The regression lines coincide¬†
    • This allows for perfect predictions of X and Y values
