The three fleurs-de-lis represent the three major engagements in which the Regiment participated in France; the three columns and arch are taken from the State Seal of Georgia, the birthplace of the unit and where it received its early training.

    Scarlet and yellow are the colors used for Artillery. The revolutionary War period Cannon is symbolic of the functions of the Battery and the red fleur-de-lis is a representative of the battle honors earned in France during World War I. It was originally approved for HHB DIVARTY on 12 October 1942.

    It was deployed to Vietnam to support the 173rd ABN BDE and fired the first American Artillery in that War when C-Battery  conducted its first registration. It also participated in the first offensive operations ISO South Vietnamese Army Forces relieving the town of Dong Xoai.
