    -axazole
    • Sulfonamides (anti-infective)
    • S/E- peripheral neuropathy, crystalluria, proteinuria, photosensitivity
    • Nursing consideration
    • Take with food (like cefalsporins)
    • push fluids (crystaluria)
    • protect from light (sunscreen, protective clothing)
  12. -cycline
    • tetracycline (used a lot with STDs)
    • s/e; discoloration of fetus primary teeth if taken by mother
    • Photoxic reaction (sun burn like)
    • Nursing consideration;
    • If expired can be toxic
  13. -Zepam
    • Benzodiaze pine
    • S/E
    • Clonazapam; do not stop suddenly
    • Diazepam; IV push should not exceed 2 mins
    • after long term use w/drawl can include vomiting sweating cramps tremors and convulsions
  14. MAO's
    • phenelzine, isocarboxazid, tranycypromine
    • S/E hypertensive crisis if taken with tyramine (aged cheese bologna, pepperoni, salami, banans, raisin, beers, red wine )
    • lowers seizure threshold
