  7. Multiplication Method For Fractions:
    • 1. look at the numbers in the fraction

    • 3.make sure you choose the biggest multiple so that you do not have to repeat steps
    • 4. make sure it is in the simplest form (smallest factors)

    • 1. line up the fraction vertically
    • 2. add the numerators
    • 3. place the answer over the common or like denominator
    • 4. simplify if you can
  12. Subtraction:
    the process or skill of taking one number or amount away from another
  13. Subtraction Method For Fractions (like denominators):
    • 1. line up the fractions horizontally
    • 2. subtract the numerator only
    • 3. simplify fraction if necessary
