  1. Why this industry?
    The technology industry is one of the most challenging and inspiring industries today. I have always loved tech and innovation even as a child. As a professional, having the opportunity to be involved with cutting edge developments and innovation, why wouldn’t you want to in IT? I enjoy creative solutions and this field welcomes innovative ideas. It’s challenging and always changing.
  2. Tell me about yourself?
    I see value in building relationships and I am a great communicator. Working early in my career as an account manager showed me the importance of client relationship management and loyalty. I have a track record of building/sustaining client relationships. During my tenure with Concordia University, I was promoted 5 times, 3 of those promotions were to build teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention. Because of this, we saw an 11% increase in client satisfaction, utilization and even employee retention.
  3. Why leaving your current role
    I learned a lot from my current role, but I wanted to utilize the skills I have gained in my previous roles and have prepared me for a new role. I see the potential for this role.
  4. Where do you see yourself in five years?
    In five years, I’d like to have an even better understanding of the industry. Ultimately, I’d like to assume more managerial duties. But most importantly, I want to work for an organization where I can build a career.”
  5. What salary are you looking for?
    I am more interested in the role itself than the pay. That said, I’d expect to be paid the appropriate range for this role, based on my experience.
  6. Why should I hire you?
    I bring over 8 years of high level account management experience. My last director said that my contributions to the team and the organization was immeasurable. If asked, you would hear how I committed to serving my organization and clients whatever it took. I sincerely believe in building dynamic relationships and making environments better than when I found them. That’s my commitment to any organization I am a part of.
  7. What is your greatest weakness?
    I have never been completely comfortable with public speaking, which can be a hindrance in any workplace. Understanding this early on, I made it a focus to attack this head on, enrolling in courses to focus on speech and communication. I was able to overcome that fear. Since college, I have given dozens of presentations, trainings and speeches to groups of over 500.
  8. What is your greatest failure?
    I often reflect on an experience back when I was in college. I went to college on an academic scholarship but had a great athletic career. My senior year, I was invited to try out for the Denver Broncos. I tried out for the team and then was invited for an extended try out. I declined the invitation due to my chances being a longshot. I count this as a failure not because I didn’t play in the NFL, but because for the first time in my life, I was the barrier to myself. I trust that if I prepare myself properly, then I can have a shot at anything. I believe the worst thing we can do is vote against ourselves because we always lose that way.
  9. Please explain the gap in employment
    My work is important to me and I am committed to the work I do. With that being said, I wont just be satisfied with any role. Instead of rushing to accept the first thing available, I am taking my time and being selective to ensure my next role is right for me and for the organization.
  10. When were you most satisfied with your job?
    I am a people person. I was the happiest and most satisfied interacting with clients, making sure I was able to meet their needs and giving them the best customer experience. I was the team manager and I dealt with any escalated issues. In my client reviews, I was rated at “good/excellent” over 90% of the time. Part of the reason I am interested in this role is because of the opportunity to interact with clients and prospective clients more. Helping organizations better themselves by providing creative solutions.
  11. What did you like least about your last role?
    There is nothing about my role that I hate, but I guess there were some things I liked less than others. My previous role did not allow for much travel or face-to-face interactions as I would prefer. I’m happy to see that this role involves more face to face time with clients.

  13. What are your greatest strengths?
    I think one of my greatest strengths is as a problem solver. I have the ability to see a situation from different perspectives and I can get my work done even in the face of difficult obstacles. I also feel that my communication skills are top notch. I feel just as comfortable presenting to senior executives as I do mediating a conflict between junior team members.
