  1. Acid + metal =
    Salt + hydrogen gas

Eg acid + copper = copper sulfate + hydrogen gas
  2. Acid + carbonates =
    Salt, water + Co²
  3. Acid + alkali =
    Salt + water
  4. What is the reactivity series?
The reactivity series is a list of metals, sequenced based on how reactive they are to things like water or oxygen. The higher up the list you go, the more reactive the metals get.
  5. Name all the metals in the reactivity series.
    • POTASSIUM
    • SODIUM
    • CALCIUM
    • MAGNESIUM
    • ALUMINIUM
    • ZINC
    • IRON
    • LEAD
    • COPPER
    • SILVER
    • GOLD
  6. Metal + water =
    Metal hydroxide + hydrogen
  7. Metal + oxygen =
    Metal oxide
  8. DISPLACEMENT - give a definition
A reactive metal can displace a less reactive metal from a solution of a salt of that metal.
