  1. Retrolysthesis
    • Compression going straight back to SC
    • If C7 vertebrae, compression is cephalic to C8 (C8 comes out below C7)
  2. Cervical spondylolisthesis
    • Cases excessive vertebral motion leading to SC compression

  12. Warning signs of cervical intradural extramedullary tumor
    • 1. primary posterior lateral onset
    • ----disc or tumor but tumor pain is progressive and can become bilat
    • 2. 2-3 NRs affected, SC affected later on
    • 3. cough/ Lhermitte’s sign causing pain in arm
    • 4. no articular signs
    • ---- only get signs of tumor invades foramen
  13. possible dx when see double root palsy
    • 1. two disc lesions (not common)
    • 2. arthritic neck with osteophytes
    • 3. tumor
  14. Tumors are best seen on what type of imaging
    MRI
