  1. Prokaryotic cell
A cell that has no organelles
  2. Eukaryotic cell
    A cell with organelles
  3. Pathogen
    An organism that causes disease.
  4. Decomposers
Organisms that break down the dead remains of other organisms.
  5. Vegetative reproduction
The process by which the stem of a plant can form new roots and develop into a mature plant.
  6. Name the five kingdom's
    Monera, Protista, fungi, plantae, animalia
  7. An organism is made up of several eukaryotic cells and eats only dead organisms. To which kingdom does it belong?
    Kingdom fungi
  8. An organism is made up of several eukaryotic cells and makes its own food that has specialized structures that perform individual tasks. to what kingdom does it belong?
    Kingdom plantae
  9. An organism is made up of one prokaryotic cell that eats only dead organisms. To which kingdom does it belong?
    Kingdom Monera
  10. An organism is made up of several eukaryotic cells and makes its own food. It has no special structures. To what kingdom does it belong?
    Kingdom Protista
  11. An organism is made up of one eukaryotic cell and eats other, living organisms. To which kingdom does it belong?
    Kingdom Protista
  12. An organism is made up of several eukaryotic cells that eats only living plants. To which kingdom does it belong?
    Kingdom Animalia
  13. Why can dehydrated food be stored for a long time without worry of it being contaminated by bacteria?
Because bacteria need water to survive and most of the water is removed from dehydrated Foods
  14. Why did people salt meat before Refrigeration was available?
Because the presence of salt reduces the growth and reproduction of bacteria
  15. When you store food for a long time, why does covering it reduce the amount of bacterial contamination?
Because some bacteria particles latch onto dust particles. therefore when food is covered from dust, less bacteria is able to reach it.
  16. A member of Kingdom Protista can move on its own. Is it protozoa or algae?
    Protozoa
  17. Are there any pathogenic organisms in Kingdom Protista?
    Yes
  18. Why are decomposers essential to Creation?
To decompose the dead matter in creation. without them there would be no way the materials in dead organisms could be used again by living organisms.
  19. Are all members of kingdom fungi made of many cells? If not give an example of a single-celled member of kingdom fungi.
Yeast is a single-celled member of kingdom fungi
  20. Icebergs are dangerous to ships because the visible part of an iceberg is actually very small most of an iceberg is underwater where it cannot be seen. How is a mushroom like an iceberg?
Most of the mushroom is underground in the form of mycelium
  21. What is the main part of a mushroom the cap, the stalk, the gills, or the mycelium?
    The mycelium
  22. A cell has a cell wall and a central vacuole. Is it a prokaryotic cell, a plant cell, an animal cell?
    A plant cell
  23. What is tugor pressure and what does it do for a plant
Tugor pressure is the pressure inside of a plant caused by the central vacuole pushing the cell contents against the cell wall. it allows the plant to stand upright.
  24. To which kingdom do human beings belong?
    Animalia
