  1. Psychotherapies:
    Procedures in which people with mental disorders interact with a trained therapist who helps them change certain behaviors, though, or emotions so that they can feel and function better.
  2. Psychodynamic Therapies:
    Therapies based on the idea that mental disorders stem mainly from hidden inner conflicts, and that once these conflicts are made conscious they can be resolved.
  3. Psychodynamic Therapies:

    Sigmund Freud
    Based on the idea that we press certain feelings and impulses in our subconscious out of our conscious awareness. We do this through various defense mechanisms.
