  1. An angle that measures more than 90 degrees and less than 180.
    obtuse
  2. A quadrilateral with two parallel sides
    parallelogram
  3. The sum of the lengths of the sides of a polygon.
perimeter- Two polygons with the same area do not necessarily have the same perimeter.
  4. Intersecting at a right angle.  The altitude and base of a triangle.
    perpendicular
  5. An irrational number, represented by the symbol π,
    approximately equal to 3.14,
which is equal to the ratio of the circumference of any circle to its diameter. The area of a circle equals πr2, and the circumference equals 2πr.
    pi
  6. A product obtained by multiplying a quantity by itself one or more times (e.g., the fifth power of 2 or 25 is 32.
    power
  7. An integer greater than 1 that has no factors other than 1 and itself. The first ten prime numbers are 2,3,5,711,13,17,23,29, and 31. Notice that 2 is the only even one of these.
    Prime number
  8. The result of multiplication
    product
  9. A polyhedron having for its base a polygon and for faces triangles with a common vertex.
    Pyramid
  10. The rule that states, "For any right tiring, the sum of the squares of the legs is equal to the square of the hypotenuse"
    Pythagorean theorem
  11. A four-sided polygon. Squares, rectangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids.
    quadrilateral.
  12. The result of division.
    quotient
  13. The symbol √, which by itself represents the square root. With the little number, it represents a higher root.
    radical
  14. The length of a line segment connecting the center and point on a circle. Also half the diameter.
    radius
  15. Having a place on the number line. For instance, π, because it has a location on the number line.
    real
  16. A pair of number whose product is 1. To get the _______ of a fraction, switch the numerator and denominator.
    reciprocals
  17. A quadrilateral with four right angles. Always a parallelogram, but not all parallelograms are these.
    rectangle
  18. A quadrilateral with four equal sides
    rhombus
  19. An angle measuring exactly 90°
    right angle
  20. A number that multiplied by itself a certain number of times will yield the given quantity. of 4, is 2
    root
  21. A triangle with sides of different lengths. 3-4-5 triangle
    scalene triangel
  22. A three-dimensional figure
    solid
  23. Two angles whose measures add up to 180°
    supplementary angles
  24. A quadrilateral with two parallel sides and two non parallel sides.
    trapezoid
  25. A doughnut-shaped surface generated by a circle rotated about an axis in its plane that does not intersect the circle.
    torus
  26. The amount of three-dimensional space taken up by a three dimensional object.
    volume
