    Parasympatholytic
  2. Actions:
    Blocks Acetylcholine receptors, increases heart rate, decreasesGI secretions
  3. Indications:
    Hemodynamically significant Bradycardia, Asytole,organophosphate poisoning
  4. Contraindications:
    Atrial fibrillation, Atrial flutter, Glaucoma
  5. Precautions:
    Tachycardia, Hypertension, Do not exceed .04 mg/kg except inorganophosphate poisonings
  6. Side Effects:
    Tachycardia, Palpitations, Anxiety, Headache, Dizziness, Dilated pupils
  7. Dosage:
    Routes:
    • Bradycardia- .5mg every 3-5 minutes up to .04 mg/kg maximum dose
    • Asytole- 1mg,
    • Organophosphate poisoning- 2-5mg

    IV, ET{2-2.5 times the IV dose}
