    Chews food into ball called bolus

    Moisten and softens bolus to breakdown chemically

    Long, muscular tube that bolus passes through from mouth to stomach

    hollow bag with muscular walls that squeeze bolus until it changes to thick, soupy liquid

    coiled, tubular organ connects the stomach to large intestine. Partially digested food combines with digestive juices and is broken down.

    Thick, tubular organ connects small intestine to colon. Removes undigested waste

    Organ that produces bile, a digestive juice
  8. GALL BLADDER
    Organ that stores bile. Bile is used to break down fats in the small intestine
  9. PANCREAS
    Produces digestive juices which are used by the small intestine
  10. VILLI
    Tiny folds inside the small intestine. Nutrients pass through villi and into the blood.
  11. KIDNEY
    Filter waste out of the blood and produce urine
  12. URETERS
    Tubes that carry urine from kidneys to the bladder
  13. BLADDER
    Stores urine until in can be released
  14. URETHRA
    Tube that carries urine (pee) from the bladder to the outside of the body
  15. NEPHRONS
    Small, individual filters in the kidney. That is where the waste is filtered from the blood
  16. SWEAT GLANDS
    Produce sweat through pores when body needs to cool down
