Backup Types

  1. Full Backup
    Backs up all files regardless of the archive bit and resets the archive bit.
  2. Incremental Backup
    Backs up files on which the archive bit is set and resets the archive bit.
  3. Differential Backup
    Backs up files on which the archive bit is set and does not reset the archive bit.
  4. Copy Backup
    Backs up all files regardless of the archive bit and does not reset the archive bit.
  5. Quickest restore method.
    Full Backup
  6. Quickest backup method
    Full + Inremental
  7. Takes longer to back up as time elapses since the last full backup.
    Full + Differential Backup
  8. Second quickest restore method.
    Full + Differential Backup
