    deficiency: malabsorption, intestinal/colonectomy, bacteria/tapeworm, IBS, defective R, IF binding. Causes folate deficiency and megaloblastic anemia

    maintains myeline sheath, helps convert homocysteine to methionine, introduces 3Cs into TCA.

    Souces: meat. not found in veggies. vegans need inj. supplement.
