Associative Property

involves distributing the number outside of a parenthesis to each number in the side of a parenthesis
Distributive Property

is a number which combines with another number without changing the other number
The identity element for addition is 0. Any number plus zero equals the original number.
Identity Elements

is a number which combines with another number to equal an identity element
Inverse Elements

a number added to another number to eqqual zero for example 9 and 9.
Additive Inverse

is a number multiplied by another number to equal one. his is usually calleed the reciprocal. For example, 4 and 1/4 are reciprocals.
