Mechanism of Action
Provies topical anesthesia to eye by preventing transmission of nerve impulses by inhibiting the sodium channels along a nerve pathway
Chemical injury to the eye without associated foreign body
- Remove contact lenses prior to use
- Use longer than 2 hours may result in corneal ulcerations
- Blurred vision
- Eye sensitivity
- Coreal irritation
Dose and Route
1-2 drops of 0.5% solution in each affected eye q 5 mins prn
