Non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocker with a raped intermediate onset and duration of action.
Mechanism of Action
Binding competitively to cholinergic receptors at the motor end plate to antagonize the action of acetylchoine. Effects reversible in presence of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors.
Onset of Action
- Onset: 30-60 sec
- Peak: 1-3 min
- Duration: 30-60 min
- Half-Life: 14-18 min
Induction of skeletal muscle paralysis for RSI and/or ET intubation
Hypersensitivity to drug
Elevated HR, Elevated BP, should be administered with in adjusted doses under experienced clinicians.
- RSI Dose: 600 ug/kg (.6mg/kg)
- Maintenance Dose: 100-200 ug (.1-.2mg/kg continuous infusion.
- RSI Dose: 600ug/kg (.6mg/kg)
