  1. Types of Aircraft Operations
    This airplane is certificated in the Transport Category under FAR Parts 25, 36, JAR 25 and ICAO 16. When the appropriate equipment and instruments, as required by the airworthiness and operating regulations are approved, installed and in operable condition, flight in the following conditions are approved.

    • * Day and Night
    • * VFR and IFR
    • * Flight in icing conditions
    • * Reverse thrust taxi (single and two engine)

    • Warning
    • The airplane is prohibited from flight into severe icing conditions, which are outside of the certification envelope. In case of inadvertent encounter, refer to the Severe Icing Emergency Procedure, [ICE]

  16. During flight, severe icing conditions that exceed those for which the airplane is certificated shall be determined by the following:

    Primary Performance Cues
    PRIMARY VISUAL CUES are characterized by ice covering all, or a substantial part of the unheated portion of either forward side window, possibly associated with water splashing and streaming on the windshield.

    AND/OR

    PRIMARY PERFORMANCE CUES are characterized by unexpected decrease in airspeed an/or rate of climb.
