Getting the Point: What are the Practices that cause Teams to experience
Recognize the four stages of community building (through the team-building lens) and their sequence.
1. Pseudo-Community ~ Avoidance-The team members are not committed to the team.
2.Chaos ~ Loss of Pretense- The team members start criticizing each other and do not accept one another’s differences.
3.Emptiness ~ Loss of Manipulation- The team members tell the truth. They think, “I can’t stand this. So, this is what I really think.”
4.True Community ~ Respectar- In true community, members cut through the false filters of being nice to each other. “Respectar” means to look again.
