    • O: flexor retinaculum hook of hamate
    • I: medial border of 5thmetacarpal
    • N: ulnar nerve C8,T1
    • A: opposes & medially rotates little finger
  2. Abductor Digiti Minimi
    • O: pisiformpisohamate ligamentflexor carpi ulnaris tendon
    • I: medial aspect base of proximal phalanx of 5th finger
    • N: ulnar nerve C8,T1
    • A: abducts the little finger
  3. Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis
    • O: flexor retinaculumhook of hamate
    • I: medial aspect base of proximal phalanx of 5th finger
    • N: ulnar nerve C8,T1
    • A: flexes little finger at MCP articulation
  4. Flexor Pollicis Brevis
    • O: superficial head – flexor retinaculum, trapezium, scaphoid; deep head – trapezoid, capitate, palmar ligament
    • I: radial side base of proximal phalanx of thumb
    • N: median nerve C8,T1(ulnar nerve C8,T1 part of it possibly)
    • A: pulls thumb across palm of handflexes thumb
  5. Abductor Pollicis Brevis
    • O: flexor retinaculumscaphoidtrapezium
    • I: radial side base of proximal phalanx of thumb
    • N: median nerve C8,T1
    • A: abduct & assists with opposition
  6. Adductor Pollicis
    • O: oblique head – ant. surface base of 2nd and 3rd metacarpalscapitate & adjacent bones; transverse head – ant. surface of 3rd metacarpal
    • I: medial side base of proximal phalanx of thumb
    • N: ulnar nerve C8,T1
    • A: adducts thumb
  7. Opponens Pollicis
    • O: flexor retinaculumtrapezium
    • I: lateral side of shaft of 1st metacarpal
    • N: median nerve C8,T1
    • A: medially rotates thumb, draws thumb into opposition
  8. Lumbricals
    • O: 1st & 2nd – radial side palmar surface of flexor digitorum profundus (FDP) tendons; 3rd – adj sides of FDP tendons of 3rd & 4th digits; 4th – adjacent sides of FDP tendons of 4th & 5th digits
    • I: lateral sides of dorsal extension expansion of digits 2 - 5
    • N: 1st & 2nd – median nerve C8,T13rd & 4th – ulnar nerve C8,T1
    • A: flexes MCP (main ones for this)extends IP
  9. Palmar Interossei
    • O: 1st – ulnar side palmar asp. of 2nd metacarpal; 2nd – radial side palmar aspect 4th metacarpal; 3rd – radial side palmar aspect 5th metacarpal
    • I: all insert into DorExExp of digits; 1st – ulnar side base of proximal phalanx of 2nd digit; 2nd – radial side base of proximal phalanx of 4th digit; 3rd – radial side base of proximal phalanx of 5th digit
    • N: ulnar nerve C8,T1
    • A: adduct towards 3rd fingeralso help w/ extension of IPs and flexing MCP joints
  10. Dorsal Interossei
    • O: 1st – adjacent sides of 1st and 2nd metacarpals; 2nd – adjacent sides of 2nd and 3rd metacarpals; 3rd – adjacent sides of 3rd and 4th metacarpals; 4th – adjacent sides of 4th and 5th metacarpals
    • I: all insert into DorDigExp of either 2nd, 3rd or 4th fingers; 1st – rad. asp. base of proximal phalanx of 2nd finger;2nd & 3rd – rad & uln asp (resp) of base of prox. phalanx of 3rd finger; 4th – ulnar aspect base of prox. phalanx of 4th finger
    • N: ulnar nerve C8,T1
    • A: abduct the digits, assists with flexing MCP joints, extends IPs
  11. Palmaris Brevis
    • O: flexor retinaculum; palmar aponeurosis
    • I: skin of palm
    • N: ulnar nerve C8,T1
    • A: tightens skin on palm
