    a specially prepared charcoal that will adsorb and bind toxins from the gastrointestinal tract

    Should only be administered following emesis in cases in which it is indicated, Pt’s with altered mental status

    Constipation, nausea, vomiting

    1g/kg (typically 20-75 g) mixed with a glass of water to form a slurry
  10. Pedi dose
    1g/kg mixed with a glass of water to form a slurry
  11. Max dose
    1g/kg
  12. Routes of Administration
    Oral, NG tube
