    Antihistamine
    • - Patanase is specifically indicated for the relief of the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis in patients 12 years of age and older.

    • - Works in 3 minutes to relieve itchy allergy eyes
    • - Prevents symptoms from coming back, when dosed once-a-day
    • - Safe and effective for adults and children 3 years and older

    Moxifloxacin HCI ophthalmic solution 0.5%
    (mox - ee - flox' a - sin)
    • - Indicated for the treatment of acute bacterial conjunctivitis but also commonly known as pink eye (infection of the membrane that covers the outside of the eyeballs and the inside of the eyelids)
    • - BID Dosing - Used 2 times per day for 7 days
    • - Treats 7 more pathogen compared to VIGAMOX
    • - Treats 4 months of age and up (versus 1 year with VIGAMOX)
    • - Contains Xanthan Gum which makes
    • it more viscose and adheres better and longer, thus allowing for enhanced penetration through the
    • cornea. As a result , only a BID dosing
    • is needed instead of the older TID dosing with VIGAMOX

    - Original Approval Date FDA: November 19, 2010

    • -Increases the viscosity of the formulation increasing the time of residence on the eye allowing for enhanced penetration through the

    Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic) 0.3%
    (sip - roe - FLOX - a - sin)
    Dexamethasone (steroid) 0.1%
    (dex - a - METH - a - sone)
    • - Indicated for the treatment of acute bacterial conjunctivitis also commonly known as pink eye ( infection of the membrane that covers the outside of the eyeballs and the inside of the eyelids)
    • - TID Dosing - Used 3 times per day for 7
    • - Treats 1 year of age & up

    Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic) 0.3%

    • -Indicated for acute:
    • 1) otitis externa also commonly known as swimmer's ear (outer ear infection /infection of the ear canal)
    • 2) otitis media w/tubs (middle ear infection)

    • - Ciprodex is a combination of powerful antibiotic ciprofloxacin and a powerful steroid Dexamethasone. It works by killing
    • the bacteria that cause infection and reduces swelling and pain in the ear.
    • - Ciprofloxacin is in a class of medications called quinolone antibiotics
    • -Dexamethasone is in a class of medications called corticosteroids
    • - combines a steroid with a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, to reduce swelling and fight infection in both the middle and outer ear.
