  5. 1st step - Intro for step & bars
    1st step: PDB - Step is done by dancers A & D to start the Reel of Tulloch. The starting pos & line of travel depend on if it is danced for a Reel of Tulloch or preceding the Strathspey.

    • BARS 1&2: Execute 2 PDB, springing RF LF travelling forwards to set line. Finish facing eachother. The starting spring for each PDB is towards 4th inter. (1 & 2, 3 & 4).
    • BARS 3&4: Execute 2 PDB, making a complete turn to the right, finishing w/ A at point 2, & D at point 3. (5 & 6, 7 & 8).
    • BARS 5: PDB RF travelling SLIGHTLY towards 2nd pos (1 & 2).
    • Bar 6: Assemble on the set line w/ RF in 5th (A at 2, D at 3) (count 3). Dissasemble onto LF, HC w/ RF (4 &).
    • BARS 7&8: 4 HC springing RF, LF, RF, LF (5 & 6 & 7 & 8 &)

    ARMS: 1st pos, changing to 3rd during the dissasemble w/ HC in Bar 6.
  6. 2nd Step
    2nd Step - Shake & Travel

    • Bars 1: Hop LF, placing the RF on the HP in 5th pos. (1) Hop LF extending RF w/ shake, like the Fling, but to 2nd aerial (and [and] a 2) or ([and] and a 2)
    • Bar 2: Hop LF & then step on to RF in 5th rear pos (&3); Step to 2nd w/ LF, closing ball of RF to 5th pos, softly extending LF to 2nd aerial low. (& 4).
    • Bars 3&4: Repeat Bars 1-2, with op foot
    • Bars 5&6: Repeat Bars 1-2, but w/ extension to normal level before HC.
    • ARMS: 2nd pos, changing to 2nd pos on the pther side on counts & 4.

    • Bars 7&8: Execute 2 HC springing LF, RF (5 & 6 &). Spring LF taking RF as for HC to 3rd rear aerial pos, then execute a round the leg mvmt to 3rd aerial pos (7 &). Hop LF, executing HC with RF (8 &). On counts 7 &, you can execute a HC w/ RF instead of the round the leg mvmnt.
    • ARMS: 3rd pos
  7. 2nd Step - Alt
    • Bars 1-4: Repeat bars 1 - 4 of the 2nd step
    • Bars 5-8: Execute 8 HC with spring, starting w/ spring RF (1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & 6 & 7 & 8 &)
    • ARMS: 3rd pos
  8. 3rd step
    Balance & PDB - (danced in same spot w/ no travel)

    • Bars 1: Execute the balance mvmt springing RF, LF (1, 2).
    • Bar 2: PDB w/ RF (3 & 4)
    • Arms: 3rd pos in Bar 1; 1st pos Bar 2

    • Bars 3 & 4: Repeat Bars 1 & 2 w/ op foot. (5, 6, 7 & 8)
    • Bars 5-8: Repeat Bars 1-4, making 1/8 turn on bar 8.
  9. 3rd Step - 1st Alt
    • Bars 1-6: Repeat Bars 1 to 6 of the 3rd step.
    • Bars 7&8: Execute bars 7 & 8 of the 2nd step
  10. 3rd step - 2nd alt
    • Bars 1-4: Execute bars 1-4 of the 3rd step.
    • Bars 5-8: Execute 8 HC (same as 2nd step alt)
  11. 4th Step
    4th Step - Brushing

    • Bar 1: Hop LF, executing an outward brush with RF from 3rd aerial pos very low to 4th aerial (1). Hop LF, repeating outward brush w/ RF (2).
    • Bar 2: Spring RF, executing outward brush w/ LF from 3rd aerial pos very low, to 4th aerial pos (3). Hop LF, repeating outward brush (4).
    • Bars 3&4: Execute 4 HC springing LF, RF, LF, RF (5 & 6 & 7 & 8 &).
    • Arms: 2nd pos bars 1 & 2. 3rd pos bars 3 & 4

    • Bars 5-8:Repeat Bars 1-4 but w/ op foot.
    • Note: The 1st HC for Bars 3&4 & 7&8 can be executed w/ or w/out an extension, the rest w/ extensions.
  12. 5th Step
    5th Step - HC & Spring Points

    • Bar 1: Spring RF, executing a HC w/ LF. Spring LF, executing a HC w/ RF. (1 & 2 &)
    • Bar 2: Execute 2 SP, springing RF, LF with WF in 4th pos each time. (3, 4).
    • Bars 3-6: Repeat Bars 1 & 2, twice more (5 & 6 & 7, 8, 1 & 2 & 3, 4)
    • Arms: 3rd pos Bar 1; 1st pos Bar 2

    Bars 7&8: Execute 4 HC Springing RF, LF, RF, LF (5 & 6 & 7 & 8 &). - OR- Repeat bars 1 & 2.

    Each 1st HC in a series can be executed w/ or w/out extension, the remaining w/ extensions.
  13. 6th Step
    • 6th Step - Balance & Round the Leg
    • Bar 1: Execute the balance mvmt, springing RF, LF (1, 2)
    • Bar 2: Spring RF, taking LF to 3rd rear aerial; Execute a RTLM w/ LF to 3rd aerial (3 &); Hop RF, extending LF to 4th inter aerial pos (4).
    • Bars 3&4: Repeat bars 1 &2, but w/ the op foot. (5, 6, 7 & 8).

    • Bar 5: Repeat bar 2
    • Bar 6: Repeat Bar 2 but w/ op foot

    Bars 7 & 8: Execute 4 HC (as in the 4th step). THe first can be executed w/ or w/out extension, the rest w/ extensions. (5 & 6 & 7 & 8 &).

    Arms: 3rd pos throughout
  14. 6th Step - 1st Alt
    • Bars 1-4: Execute Bars 1 to 4 of the 6th step.
    • Bars 5 & 6: Repeat Bars 1 & 2
    • Bars 7&8: Execute Bars 7 & 8 of the 2nd step
  15. 6th Step - 2nd Alt
    • Bars 1-4: Execute Bars 1 to 4 of the 6th step
    • Bars 5-8: Execute 8 HC w/ springs (1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & 6 & 7 & 8 &)
  16. 7th Step
    • 7th Step - Backstep & Travel
    • Bar 1: Sharply take RF to 3rd aerial pos & execute one backstep (1). Place LF on the HP towards 2nd pos (&). Close ball of RF in 5th rear pos, extending LF to 2nd aerial pos (2). Take LF to 3rd rear aerial (&).

    Bar 2: Spring LF w/ HC RF (3 &). Spring RF, taking LF as for HC to 3rd rear aerial (4). Hop RF, executing a RTLM w/ LF to 3rd aerial pos (&).

    Bars 3 & 4: Repeat Bars 1 & 2 w/ op foot (5 & 6 & 7 & 8 &).

    Bars 5&8: Repeat Bars 1 to 4, finishing w/ HC RF.

    ARMS: 3rd pos throughout
  17. 8th Step
    • 8th Step - Assemble & Travel
    • Bar 1: Assemble w/ LF in front w arms in 1st pos (1). Dissasemble, taking RF to 3rd rear aerial w/ arms in 2nd pos (2).

    • Bar 2: Hop LF, executing a RTLM w/ RF to 3rd aerial pos (3). Step RF on the HP towards 2nd pos (&). Close ball of LF 5th rear pos, extending RF to 2nd aerial pos (4).
    • Arms: 2nd pos

    • Bars 3&4: Repeat Bars 1 & 2 w/ the op foot (5, 6 7 & 8)
    • Bars 5 & 6: Repeat Bars 1 & 2
    • Bars 7 & 8: Execute 4 HC Springing RF, LF, RF, LF ( 5 & 6 & 7 & 8 &) w. arms in 3rd pos.
  18. 9th Step
    • 9th Step - HC in Front & Balance
    • Bar 1: Hop LF, w/ HC in front RF (1 and [and]). Place RF on the HP in 5th pos, then lightly beat the ball of the LF in 5th rear pos, at the same time extending RF to 4th int aerial pos (a 2).

    • Bar 2: Execute the balance mvmt springing RF LF (3, 4)
    • Arms: 2nd pos bar 1; 3rd pos bar 2

    • Bar 3: Repeat Bar 1
    • Bar 4: Spring RF taking LF to 3rd rear aerial (7). Hop RF executing a RTLM w/ RF to 3rd aerial pos (8).
    • Arms: 2nd pos

    Bars 5 to 8: Repeat bars 1 to 4 w/ op foot.
