Governor Failure: Low Side
: same as engine failure but after a few seconds, N
stabilizes at <70%.
Establish auto at 65 kts.
Advance fuel control (results in Ng & T4 rise)
Maintain 70% Ng.
Increase fuel flow to ~380 rpm Nr.
Trim collective & fuel flow to hold level flight at this rotor speed.
Governor Failure: Surging
: hunting of the rpm, torque, & T4 with jerks in the yaw axis.
Change collective setting.
If surging persists
fuel pressure and engine oil pressure are normal, reduce fuel flow slightly (to leave governed range).
If surging still persists
: Land ASAPossible and shut down.
Keep torque >10%.

If ENG P light does not illuminate, monitor it & land ASAPractical.
