  1. Acute Allergic Reaction
    Epinephrine 0.3-0.5 mg (1:1,000) IM every 15 min.

    Life threatening 0.1 mg 1:10,000 IV

    Benadryl 50 mg IV, IM

    Decadron 20 mg IV

    Albuterol 5 mg

    BP< 90, two liters of fluid, Dopamine 5-20 mcg/kg/min, Levophed 5-30 mcg/min

    Glucagon 1 mg if not responsive to Epi and on beta blockers
  2. Asthma - Status Asthmaticus
    Albuterol 2.5 mg/ Atrovent 0.5 mg q 30 min x 3

    Moderate to severe 10-15 mg continuosly

    Solu-Medrol 125 mg IV, Decadron 10-20 mg IV

    SEVERE: Epi 1:1,000 0.3-0.5mg SC/IM q 20 minutes

    Mag Sulfate 2-4 grams IV over 20 minutes in 50 mL's
  3. Acute Pulmonary Edema
    ETCO2, SpO2 > 92%

    Lasix 40-80 mg IV if CHF confirmed on CXR and BP > 140.

    NTG SL if BP > 160 repeat x 3 if BP > 140.

    NTG infusion with BP >180 with symptoms

    Bronchodilators only if wheezing

    Dopamine, Levophed if BP < 90
  4. Adult RSI
    Atropine 0.5 mg if bradycardic

    • Etomidate 0.3-0.5 mg/kg IV
    • Ketamine 2 mg/kg IV
    • Versed 2-5 mg IV

    Succinylcholine 1.5 mg/kg

    Zemuron 1 mg/kg
