    AKA pernicious, stops the maturation of RBC's in bone marrow
  18. What is Sickle Cell Anemia?
    • C shaped RBC's that are unable to transport oxygen
    • Genetics
  19. What is Anemia of Chronic Disease?
    Is figured out to be the diagnosis after other forms of anemia are tested out
  20. What is Polycythemia?
    Increased number of RBC's, WBC's and platelets

    • Either a malfunction in the Bone Marrow
    • or
    • Low oxygen levels
  21. What is Hemophilia?
    Genetic deficiency in clotting factors
  22. What is Leukemias?
    A group of disorders affecting the hematopoietic or lymphoid system
